Finding Community in a Time of Social Distancing
The intent behind all of our programming is to expand our understanding of and participation in the communities that surround us. As we all institute practices of social distancing take notice of the ways this brings our communities together. Let us all focus on using this new reality as an opportunity to bring about the change we want to see in our world.
As for the nuts and bolts, we want you to know that from our headquarters up on Spruce Knob, we are following guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and state and federal government regarding group sizes and social distancing.
As such, we are closing our campus to the public. AirBnB rentals and programming are postponed until further notice. Registrants for specific courses and programs should have already received information.
As of now, we anticipate running our summer camps and adult programming as planned but we will continue to follow guidelines as they are developed.
At this time, more so than any other, may we all hold the power of wild places in our hearts. Remember that we are all connected to each other and every other organism around us. Find beauty in the small things, love in the decisions that we must make every day, and know that while something is lost, something else is gained in living each of these days.
