In this lesson we introduce your students to conditional logic through the use of a dichotomous key. Conditional logic is used heavily in both the biological and computer sciences. Students will learn to organize observations and describe identifying features. They will then use a dichotomous key to make conclusions. The lesson will then guide them through a process of using their own logic and observations to create an original dichotomous key. Finally, they will apply this technique to life decision making.
