The Patch Project is gathering stories about the way that your time with Experience Learning affects your life in your community.
I will take home so much, including my new love for appreciating those that I care about and my new complete amazement at how beautiful our home is.
Something I learned and will take with me is that asking for help and never giving up on myself is something I will know for life.
These statements are from recent participants as they left Spruce Knob after their programs. We find it enchanting to think about such inspired young adults applying these lessons in their daily life. But. Since you leave us, we just have to imagine that part.
The air at this small Wyoming lake was swarming with bugs and I wished to be up on Spruce where the mosquitos are mysteriously and wonderfully absent. But as we pitched our tent we realized that they weren’t biting. They were not mosquitos! The rest of the night we watched the stars and the bats.
For the first time this year, we made a limited number of Experience Learning patches. We hope that our campers and program participants use their patches as reminders of the things that they learned during their time with us.
